Interment followed in the Calvary Cemetery. Reverend Michael Russo, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Lafayette, was the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and conducted the funeral services. Giftbearers were Heather Skidmore, Brice Broussard and Rami Broussard. Lectors were John Martin and Gregory Broussard. Eulogist was Michael Laurent Johnson. Rachel Gaspard, soloist, accompanied by AndrŽ Courville, organist, sang for the services. Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Wyatt Martin and Karen Wyatt Aguillard and her husband, Donald; seven grandsons, Garrett Broussard and Barb Duval, Gregory Broussard and wife, Allison Duplechin; James Martin, John Martin and wife, Shawna Testement; William Johnson and wife, Jami Skidmore; Wyatt Johnson and wife, Casey Gray; and Michael Johnson; six great grandchildren, Madeline Lejeune, Jacob Martin, Heather Skidmore, Brice Broussard Rami Broussard and Vincent Duval; one sister, Margarite Roberts; two brothers, Fred Cormier and Laurent Cormier Jr.; and many close nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Paul Wyatt; one daughter, Elaine Wyatt Broussard; parents, Laurent Cormier Sr. and Agnes Green Cormier; two sisters, Irene Dupre and Pearl Judice; and two brothers, Sidney Cormier and James Cormier. A native of Cecilia, long time resident of Lafayette, Lurcy Wyatt was currently residing in Franklin. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends and never met a stranger. Lurcy will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. Pallbearers will be Garrett Broussard, Gregory Broussard, James Martin, John Martin, William Johnson, Wyatt Johnson and Michael Johnson. The family requested that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Lafayette location on Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary was prayed on Sunday at 5 p.m. in Martin & Castille Funeral Home. Special thanks to Mrs. Wyatt's caregivers, Doris White, Darline Patterson and Lorretta Booker, whom she loved very dearly.
