Lynn Brashear, age 54, a resident of Morgan City and a native of Freising 
Bavaria, Germany, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 2:41 PM at Community 
Specialty Hospital in Lafayette, La.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City 
from 10:00 AM until funeral at 2:00 PM. Burial in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Lynn leaves to cherish her memory; her parents, Bob and Cheer Owens of Phoenix, 
Arizona; her husband of thirty-five years to Alton Brashear of Morgan City; one 
daughter, Leah Mae Owens of Morgan City, one son, Alton Castille of Morgan City, 
one sister, Mrs. Liesi (Duane) Roberson of Phoenix, Arizona; three brothers, Guy 
Owens, Kurt Owens and Jared Owens all of Phoenix, Arizona; fourteen 
grandchildren who were everything to her, next to God, two brother-in-law, 
Raymond (Marie) Ruffin and Ronald Brashear both of Morgan City; five sisters-in-
law, Barbara R. Hall, Ora L. Garner and Gwendolyn (Thomas) Anderson, Suzette 
Brashear and Mary Brashear all of Morgan City, La., and numerous nephews, 
nieces, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son; Fred Owens, her mother-in-law; Mrs. Cassie 
Ruffin Cooper and father-in-law, Edward Cooper.
