BURRELL, MORRIS 

Mr. Morris Burrell, 73, a resident of Baldwin and native of the Katy Community, 
died Monday, April 11, 2011, at 3:35 p.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital 
following a short illness.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Viola James Burrell of Baldwin; one daughter, 
Gail Evelyn Burrell Burney of Baldwin; 10 brothers, James, Freddie and Horace 
Lacy Burrell of Baldwin, Harold, Edward, Alvin, Robert and Carlton Burrell of 
Franklin, George Burrell of Bossier City and David Burrell of Houston, Texas; 
three sisters, Norma Burrell Morgan of Franklin, Laura Burrell of Panama City, 
Florida and Mable Burrell of Houston; two grandchildren; and three step great 
grandchildren.

Mr. Burrell was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and a son-in-law.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at 
Special Providence Baptist Church in Baldwin.

Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. 
W.J. Otis officiating. 
Interment will follow in the Special Providence Cemetery.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
