Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1104.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at 1:00 PM at the Church of the Assumption for Lawrence Paul Hebert, 70, a native and resident of Franklin, who passed away Friday, April 1, 2011, at 10:43 AM at the Heart Hospital of Lafayette. Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Fr. Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services. Mr. Hebert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family. He was a 1959 graduate of Hanson Memorial School, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Franklin Council #1420. In 2010 he retired from SMI Companies after 19 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lois Charpentier Hebert of Franklin; five children, Mark Hebert and his wife, Jill, of Franklin, Brad Hebert of New Iberia, Beth Hebert of Broussard, Larry Hebert and his wife, Hope, of Verdunville, and Charlotte Hebert St.Blanc of Franklin; two sisters, Delores Hebert and Shirley Hebert, both of Franklin; 12 grandchildren, Seaneen, JeneŽ, Paige, Mackenzie, Meagan, Kristen, Katelyn, Kortlyn, Lexi, Lex, Laine, and Lawson; and four great grandchildren, Julian, Cullen, Annelise, and Isabelle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Joseph Hebert and Amelia Picard Hebert. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, April 5, at the Church of the Assumption from 10:00 AM until Mass time, with the rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be his three sons, Mark Hebert, Brad Hebert, and Larry Hebert, as well as Gene Daigle, Raymond Hebert, and Edmond Picard.
