John L. "Johnny" Markerson, III, 49, a native of Franklin and a resident of Fort 
Myers, Florida, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Lee Memorial Hospital 
in Fort Myers.

Survivors include his wife, Joni Goulas Markerson of Fort Myers, FL; two 
daughters, Joni Markerson Mason of Orlando, FL, and Caroline Markerson of 
Orlando, FL; parents, John L. "Johnny" Markerson, Jr. and Joanne Martin 
Markerson, of Franklin; step-daughter, Christina Perron of New Iberia; siblings, 
Chris Markerson and his wife Rachelle of Baton Rouge, Mitzi Markerson Aucoin and 
her husband Blake of Houma, and Brad Markerson and his wife Rachel of Lafayette; 
and two granddaughters, Emily Mason and Julia Mason.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Medric Martin and Mildred 
Landry Martin; and paternal grandparents, John L. Markerson, Sr. and Charlie 
Baldrige Markerson.

Private funeral services will be held at a later date. 

Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 920 Main 
St., Franklin, LA 70538.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc.
