COLLINS, EZORA ZENO 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Immaculate 
Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Ezora Zeno Collins, 83, who passed away 
Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Amelia Manor Nursing Home. Fr. DeSouza will be the 
Celebrant of the Mass. 
Interment will be at the church cemetery.

A native of Breaux Bridge and a resident of Lafayette, she was a devout Catholic 
who enjoyed cooking and canning for her family and friends. She was the family's 
sage who enjoyed sharing her wisdom with anyone who was willing to listen. Her 
outgoing Spirit and outspoken ways will be missed by many.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Collins Barard of Baldwin; son-in- law, 
Shelton Barard of Baldwin; one sister, Beatrice Z. Broussard of Breaux Bridge; 
brother-in-law, Dorville Broussard. Also survived by six grandchildren; 15 great 
grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, 
nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph K. Collins; son, Joseph Michael 
Collins; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pascal Zeno.; and two sisters, Enola Helaire and 
Mary Garcet Shelton.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Syrie Funeral Home from 9 
a.m. until time of services.
