Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1105.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Donald Drexler, age 53, a native of Glencoe, La., and a resident of Houston, TX., died, Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Baton Rouge General Hospital at 9:15 AM. Visitation will be Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin from 9:00 AM until funeral at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the St. Helen Cemetery in Glencoe, La. Donald enjoyed painting in which he was very crafty with his hands. He loved basketball, especially the Houston Rockets, as well as several other teams. His personality attracted many people. His most passionate hobby was outdoor grilling in which he was also known as the "BBQ CHAMP", Still today his secret BAR-B-QUE sauce remains unknown. Donald leaves to remember his life; three daughters, Chasity B. Paul (Carmichael) of Patterson, La., Melanie Drexler Lumpkin (Ronald) and Latisha Drexler both of Franklin, La; two brothers, Irving (Magdalene) Drexler, Jr. of Baldwin, La., and Charles Ray Drexler of Ypsilanti, Michigan; five sisters, Beverly Drexler Spencer of Baton Rouge, La., Brenda J. Drexler of Macon, Ga., Barbara J. Drexler of Glencoe, La., Cheryl Broussard ( Harold) of Franklin and Gail Lancelin (Wallace)of Baldwin, La; three paternal uncles; Clarence Drexler, Harold Drexler and Charles Drexler; one maternal uncle, Gilbert Bryant of New Orleans, La., his godmother, Alfaretta Broussard of Glencoe, La., nine grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Irving Drexler, Sr., a brother, Craig B. Drexler and a nephew, Gary Paul Drexler. ===================
