Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1105.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, May 26, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baldwin for Glenn James Geoffray, a native of New Iberia and resident of Baldwin since 1977, who passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011, at 9:25 AM at his home. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Father Gregory Cormier, Father Bill Melancon, and Deacons Gerald Bourg and Harry Darce will officiate the services. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Linda Trautman Geoffray of Baldwin; one daughter, Kami Elizabeth Geoffray of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Dola G. Broussard and her husband Leroy, Judy G. Prados and her husband Wilbert, and Gail Geoffray, all of New Iberia; two brothers-in-law, Conrad "Cat" Trautman and his wife Linda of Baldwin and George "Butch" Trautman and his wife Billye of The Woodlands, TX; three sisters-in-law, Roslyn T. Hale and her husband Alex of Charenton, Janet T. Hebert and her husband Jules of Baldwin, and Judy T. Simoneaux and her companion Allen "Pummy" Guillotte of Kentwood; special family friends, Brian and Patrice Picard and their children, Olivia and Hunter, all of Erath; and three godchildren, Sean Prados of Lafayette, Meagan Hale Fryoux of Nederland, TX, and Kelli F. Modine of Charlotte, NC, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eustan Geoffray and Emaze Norman Geoffray; father-in-law, George Trautman; mother-in-law, Yvonne Chauvin Trautman; a niece, Kelli F. Hebert; and a beloved family friend, Celia Picard. Glenn was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He graduated from New Iberia High School in 1972 and furthered his education in the field of electrical, heating and cooling. He was an electrical technician with Nabors International, Saudi Arabia division. His previous employment with Louisiana Electric Rig Service gave him the opportunity to see the world, working in several countries throughout the continents of Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America. He was a musician, a sportsman, and a motorcycle enthusiast. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Sacred Heart from 9:30 AM until time of Mass. Pallbearers will be Eric Broussard, Greig Broussard, Sean Prados, Michael Broussard, Brian Picard, Hunter Picard, Milton "Joe" Gaudet, and Johnny Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Simoneaux and Marc Kuhlman. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Acadiana, especially his caregivers, Carolyn, Donnie, Doris, Jenee, and Judith.
