Malinda Sue LaVerne, 51, a native of Morgan City, and a resident of Berwick, 
passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at her home.

Malinda was born on February 18, 1960 in Morgan City, Louisiana.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She 
also enjoyed watching New Orleans Saints football.

She is survived by one daughter, Skyla LaVerne, of Bayou L'Ourse; spouse, 
Charles Giandelone; three grandchildren, Alyssa LaVerne, Haydn Bailey, and 
Keiton LaVerne, all of Bayou L'Ourse. She is also survived by one step daughter, 
Kelly Heuring, of Bayou Vista; two step sons, Angelo Giandelone, of Berwick, 
Antonio Giandelone, of Bayou Vista; eight step-grandchildren; several aunts, 
uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn LaVerne; grandmother, Mildred 
LaVerne; Cousin, Ronald Bishop, Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 
St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until 
1:30 PM at Twin City Funeral Home with a Rosary conducted at 12:00 PM. Malinda 
will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.
