ROBERTS, JAMES E. 

Mr. James E. Roberts, 38, a resident of Lake Charles and native of Baldwin, died 
Monday, May 9, 2011, at 4:27 p.m., at a friend's home where he was visiting in 
Port Arthur, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Mary Roberts of Lake Charles; his father, 
Edward Washington Sr. of Baldwin; two daughters, Ms. Andrea Victor of Lake 
Charles and Ms. Carlicia Williams of Jeanerette; five brothers, Lloyd J. Minor 
of Jeanerette, Edward Washington Jr. (wife Tara), Christopher Roberts (Sharon), 
Leonard Ceasar (Javais) and Micheal Ceasar, all of Baldwin; six sisters, Mrs. 
Bridgette Obi (Charles) of Houston, Texas, Ms. Ertha M. Johnson and Ms. Laura 
Roberts, all of Jeanerette, Ms. Sharon R. Clay and Ms. Yolanda Ceasar, both of 
Baldwin, and Ms. Felicia Ceasar of Houston; and a host of relatives and friends.

Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his mother.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at 
Macedonia Baptist Church, 145 Prevost Rd., in Ashton.

Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. 
Ulysses Mitchell Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Helen 
Cemetery located in the Louisa area.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
