She was 92. A graduate of UL-Lafayette, she was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, Class of 1941. She was a Home Economics teacher at Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge and Morgan City High School, where she inspired many a student with her love of sewing and dress design. She was also a Sorority House Mother at LSU. Before retiring, she worked as a Sewing Machine Demonstrator for Morgan City Sewing Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Thomas James Stafford of LSU, and survived by her daughter, Connie Russo of Patterson and her sister, Evelyn Scott of Dallas. Hargrave Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. A private graveside service and interment will be at the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
