Sophia Thomas, age 91, a resident and native of Franklin, La., died Tuesday, May 
3, 2011 at 5:03 AM at Franklin Foundation.

Visitation will be Friday, May 13, 2011 at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin from 
10:00 AM until 12:30 PM. Visitation will be at St. Jules Catholic Church in 
Franklin, La., from 12:30 PM until funeral at 2:00 PM. 
Burial in the church cemetery. 

Sophia was a long time employee of the Peck's Hotel on Main Street in Franklin, 
La.

Sophia leaves to cherish her memory; six daughters, Mary Pibby T. (Lionel) Frye, 
Sophia T. Willis, Christine Thomas, Madeline Thomas and Enez Page all of 
Franklin, and Mary Aileen Thomas of Beaumont, TX; four sons, Willie Mitchell, 
Harry Ly1es (Christine) and Edward Charles Thomas all of Franklin, and Lucius 
Thomas, Jr., of Corpus Christi, TX; one brother, Charles (Lillie) Mitchell, Sr., 
of Franklin, La; one sisters, Katherine Kitchings of Franklin, La., (58) 
grandchildren, (57) great grandchildren, (2) great great grandchildred, and a 
host of relatives and friends that realize that earth has no sorrow that Heaven 
cannot heal.

Preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Charity Mitchell.
