Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1105.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Raymond John Vining, 84, a native of Bayou Melhomme, and resident of Patterson, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Patterson Healthcare Center. He was born December 5, 1926 in Bayou Melhomme the son of Evy and Marie Giroir Vining. Later in life he married Eula Mae Mitchell and she preceded him in death. Raymond enjoyed playing the accordion and harmonica and also enjoyed hunting, cooking, and traveling. He especially loved going to church and spending time with his family. He is survived by four children, Deloris Gilchirst, of Bayou L'Ourse, Herbert Vining, of Patterson, Evy Vining, of Bayou L'Ourse, Juanita Elder, of Whitesville, NY; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Raymond is also survived by sister, Mable Pousson, of Bayou Vista, and brother, George Vining, of Minden, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one son, Raymond Vining, Jr.; one grandson, Christopher Noel Rodrigue; one great-grandson, Cyril John Vining- Rodrigue; one sister; one step-sister; and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 8:00 AM until the time of the service. Raymond will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
