Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1106.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Friday, June 24, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Teche Baptist Church in Centerville for Wilbert Joseph Cole, 82, a native and resident of Franklin who peacefully passed away at his home on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 1:00 AM with his wife at his side. Burial will follow in the Teche Gardens Cemetery in Centerville. Pastor Phillip Cole and Rev. Adam Beach will officiate the services. Mr. Wilbert was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War, was retired from Cabot following many years of dedicated service, and was the Chairman of Deacons at Teche Baptist Church in Centerville. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Sauce Cole of Franklin; one son, Tim Cole and his wife Karla of Mobile, AL; three brothers, Albert Cole of Baytown, TX, Percy Cole of Baldwin, and Gerald Cole of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Tammy Meche, Valerie Breakfield, Aaron Cole, and Phillip Cole; and four great grandchildren, Britney Meche, Maggey Breakfield, Kaleb Meche, and Dylan Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Julia Verret Cole; and one daughter Deborah "Debbie" Cole Kremin. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at Teche Baptist Church from 9:00 AM until time of service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. ===================
