Mrs. Guzzetta is preceded in death by her husband Anthony "Nina" Guzzetta, parents Augusta Templin Awagain, Salim Awagain and brother Albert "Sonny" Awagain. She is survived by her son Dr. Don Ray "Bobby" Guzzetta, daughter-in-law Teresa, grandchildren Nina Ann Guzzetta, Anthony Regan Guzzetta, Ginger Lynn Guzzetta, Courtney Merwin and brother, Kirby K. Awagain and sister-in-law Margaret Awagain, brother-in-law Joseph Guzzetta and many nieces and nephews. The family also wishes to express their love and appreciation to Wanda Crappell, her long time devoted caregiver. Mrs. Guzzetta was born in Rayville, La. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy in Natchitoches In 1937. She also was graduated from Nicholl's State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1975 and taught at Berwick Elementary School and Berwick High School. Ruth was a long time volunteer at Teche Regional Hospital in Morgan City and a faithful member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephen's Hall, in Berwick, on Friday, June 3, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. at Stephen's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Berwick Mausoleum. Hargrave Funeral Home of Morgan City is in charge of arrangements. ===================
