JOHNSON, DOROTHY 

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Freeman Johnson, 87, a resident and native of Franklin, died 
Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 7:07 a.m., at Iberia Medical Center following a 
short illness.

She is survived by one son, Robert L. Mapp Jr. of New Iberia; one daughter, 
Jessie Mae Edwards Lockley of Franklin; 13 grandchildren; 32 great 
grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, one 
sister and one brother.

Visitations will be observed Wednesday, June 29, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the 
Otis Mortuary Chapel.

Burial rites will be read Wednesday, at 11 a.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. 
Joseph Gash officiating. 
Interment will follow in the St. Jules Cemetery in Franklin.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
