Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1106.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Ola Maxine Perkins May 4, 1940 June 30, 2011 Ola Maxine Perkins a native of Georgia and a resident of Amelia passed away at the age of 71, on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Maxine was a devoted caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her and was never a stranger to anyone. She had a very deep love for her Lord and Savior Jesus which overflowed to her family and friends. In turn she was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. Maxine is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Millard Perkins Jr. of Amelia; one son, John Elton Perkins and wife, Jamie of Amelia; two daughters: Lisa Perkins Porche and husband, Darrel of Houma and Phaedra Perkins Stockstill and husband, Jeremy of Patterson; eight grandchildren: Brandi Perkins, Amber, Joshua, Jessica Porche, Erin Porche Penrod, Raven Legnon, Stevenkade Legnon and Tristian Kelly; two great grandchildren: Gabriella Porche and Abigail Ford; one brother, John M. Rowland Jr. and one sister, Mary Merrit. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, John and Tiny Rowland; two brothers: Bunyion and Wilburn Rowland and two sisters: Garcie Archibell and Maebelle Meadows. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 4, 2011 starting at 6pm until 9pm at Twin City Funeral Home and resume on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 8am until 11am with a service beginning at 11am at the funeral home. Maxine will be laid to rest in the St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Amelia following the service. ===================
