AYALA, EMMA JONES 

Mrs. Emma Jones Ayala, 34, a resident and native of Franklin, died Thursday, 
July 7, 2011, at 3:30 a.m., at her residence following a short illness.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas M. Ayala Sr. of 29 Palms, California; 
mother, Cathy M. Jones of Franklin; father, Jerry Simmons of Franklin; one son, 
Douglas M. Ayala Jr. of 29 Palms; one daughter, Marisol I. Ayala of 29 Palms; 
three brothers, Allen Jones of Waldorf, Maryland, David and Rinaudo Jones of 
Franklin; two stepbrothers, Brian Sam and Ulysses Sam Jr. of Franklin; and two 
stepsisters, Mable Bougeois of Florida and Danna Sam of New Iberia.

Mrs. Ayala was preceded in death by her grandmother, grandfather, one aunt and 
one uncle.

Visitations will be observed Friday, July 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the 
Otis Mortuary Chapel.

Burial rites will be read Friday, at 1 p.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. 
Ricky Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
