Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1107.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 11:30 AM at Ibert's Mortuary for Ms. Janie Gloer Calhoun, 87, a native of Bryceland and a longtime resident of Franklin, who passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011, at 11:25 AM at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia. Burial will follow in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. Rev. Vernon Fairley will officiate the services. Survivors include her three children, Anita Calhoun Stoufflet and her husband Phillip of Franklin, James Albert Calhoun and his wife Shelley of Franklin, and Richard Calhoun and his wife Stephanie of Franklin; one brother, W. L. Gloer of Shreveport; one sister, Marie Gloer Dunbar of Bunkie; five grandchildren, Paul Stoufflet and his wife Rita of Anchorage, Alaska, Greg Stoufflet and his wife Katie of Evansville, Indiana, Casey Calhoun Hankins and her husband Morris of Garden City, Richard Tate Calhoun and his wife Bethany of Matthews, North Carolina, and Brittany Calhoun Fitch and her husband Matthew of Jeanerette; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Calhoun; her parents, Clarence and Mabel Dalton Gloer; one brother, Howard Gloer; and two sisters, Lillian Gloer Spoon and Mildred Gloer DeLoach. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at Ibert's Mortuary from 10:00 AM until time of service. Acting as pallbearers will be James Calhoun, Greg Stoufflet, Tate Calhoun, Matthew Fitch, Morris Hankins, and Hunter Rodriguez.
