Dougie never met a stranger and he was a friend to all. Dougie had a smile that would warm your heart and always make you feel at home. Dougie was a true outdoors man; his home was on the bayous of Louisiana in his boat. He was a hunter, a fisherman, and a gator hunter. Dougie also enjoyed scuba diving and spear fishing. Dougie had a special way about him; he was born with a listening ear, and a comforting tongue. Dougie was a good man who will be mournfully missed by all those who were made better by knowing and loving this good man. But we can rest assured that Dougie is now casting and reeling in on those heavenly streams and going after those gators. Dougie is survived by his four sisters Debbie and her husband Jim Moran of Gonzales, LA, Charmaine Hedrick of Rayne, LA, Denise and her husband Cary Mendoza of Berwick, LA and Leslie Guerin of Belle Chase, LA. He is also survived by the love of his life, his companion Linda Pichoff and her family of Labadieville, LA. Dougie was preceded in death by his parents James Douglas Guerin, Sr. and Virgie Hebert Guerin; and his dog Daisy. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011, from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, at Hargrave Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel, beginning at 3:00 pm, on July 16, 2011. There will be a reception following the services, at the funeral home, to celebrate Dougie's life. ===================
