Visitation will be at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Friday, July 29, 2011 from 9:00 AM until funeral at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery. L.G. leaves to cherish and embrace his memories, his loving wife of 26 years, Catherine Granger Mingo of Morgan City, La., two sons, Leo (Patricia) Mingo, Jr. of Patterson, La., and Lawrence Blackburn of Lafayette, La; three brothers, Russell (Peggy) Mingo, Michael (Edna) Mingo and Larry Mingo all Morgan City, La; twelve stepchildren, Adrian (James) Washington and Billy Blackburn both of New Iberia, La., Karen Michelle Johnson, Leonard Allen, Chantel Allen, Anthony (Theresa) Bourgeois and Debra Morris all of Morgan City, La., Sharese (Norman) Lightfoot and Denise Hamilton both of Patterson, La., Leslie (Kourtney) Callaway of Lafayette, La., Ruby Blackburn and Christine Blackburn both of Baton Rouge, La; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. L.G. was preceded in death by his parents, Elgin and Rose Mingo, three brothers, Lawrence, Adam and Merrick Mingo and a grandson, Michael Blackburn. ===================
