BESSIE B. TARDY

Mrs. Bessie Brown Tardy, 66, a resident and native of Four Corners, died 
Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at 10:30 p.m., at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia 
following a short illness.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd Tardy Sr. of Four Corners; four daughters, 
Angel Tardy and Loretta Tardy of Jeanerette, Flora Tardy of Dallas, Texas and 
Heather Tardy of Lafayette; three brothers, Dallas Francis of Houston, Texas, 
Edward Beasley and Nickolas Beasley of Jeanerette; three sisters, Lorraine 
Brown, Jeanetta Damon and Mary Joeann Beasley of Jeanerette; 11 grandchildren; 
and seven great grandchildren.

Mrs. Tardy was preceded in death by her parents, one son and two grandchildren.

Visitations will be observed Friday, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., at St. Jude 
Spiritual Church in Jeanerette.

Burial rites will be read Friday, at 10 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. 
Dustin Walters officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Jude Cemetery in 
Jeanerette.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
