Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1108.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville for Merlene Mary Louviere Adams, 78, a native of Jeanerette and a resident of Centerville for the past 61 years, who passed away at her home on Saturday, August 13, 2011, at 6:40 PM. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Ruben Primor will officiate the services. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Allen Paul Adams, Sr. of Centerville; three children, Allen Adams, Jr. and his wife Mona of Centerville, Monica Adams of Corpus Christi, TX, and Bryan Adams and his wife Jimmie "Pee Wee" of Amite; two brothers, Curley Louviere of Charenton and N. J. Louviere, Jr. of Metairie; three grandchildren, Trecia Adams Luke and her husband David of Centerville, Shane Gisclair, Sr. and his wife Tammy of Marrero, and Steven C. Adams and his wife Jennifer of Amite; and five great grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Shane, Jr., Brittany, and Blaine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Namas Louviere, Sr. and Ida Bergeron Louviere; one brother, Levis Louviere; and two sisters, Agnes Black and Inez Norris. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 10:00 AM until Mass time, with the rosary being prayed at 12:30 PM Pallbearers will be Allen Adams, Jr., Bryan Adams, David Comeaux, Wayne Comeaux, David Luke, and Jonathan Louviere.
