Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1108.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held at a 5:00 PM Celebration of Life service, with Military Honors following, on Monday, August 22, 2011, at IbertŐs Mortuary in Patterson for Mr. Ronald James Dalfrey, a native of Arnaudville and resident of Patterson, who passed away Friday, August 19, 2011, at 1:18 AM at Teche Regional Medical Center. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the East St. Mary VeteranŐs Funeral Squad. Mr. Ronald was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War with the 1st Calvary, 101st Airborne Strike Force. After 35 years of dedicated service to the Railroad Industry, he retired in 1999. He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking, was an outdoorsman, and loved spending time with his family, friends and his dogs. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mable Cormier Dalfrey of Patterson; one son, Brady Dalfrey and his wife Penny of Morgan City; one daughter, Sandi D. Guarisco and her husband Curt of Patterson; two brothers, Ricky Dalfrey of Crowley, and Vernon Dalfrey of Crowley; six grandchildren, Jordan and Melanie Dalfrey, Macee and Austin Guarisco, and Isaiah and Elise Dalfrey; and his beloved canine daughters, Suki and Cocoa. He was preceded in death by one son, Scotty Dalfrey; one grandson, Scotty Harris; and his parents, Adley G. Dalfrey and Genevieve Hebert Dalfrey. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, August 22, at IbertŐs Mortuary from 11:00 AM until service time. In keeping with Mr. RonaldŐs wishes, following the funeral services he will be cremated with a private burial service held at a late date.
