Frank Joseph Domino Sr., 91, a native and resident of Morgan City passed away 
Saturday August 13, 2011 at Maison Jardin Assisted Living Home.

Frank is survived by three sons, Donald J. Domino and his wife, Lana A. Domino, 
of Morgan City, Michael W. Domino of Morgan City, and Frank J. Domino Jr. and 
his wife, Mitzi R. Domino, of Lafayette; one sister, Lucille Van Dormolen of 
Las Vegas, Nevada; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous 
nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Agatha 'Aggie' Dimiceli Domino; his 
father, Biaggio A. Domino; his mother, Lucia Resignola Domino; five brothers, 
Lee, Nunsie, Joseph, Vincent, and Salvatore Domino; and five sisters, Eugenia 
Grizzaffi, Rose Nagel, Josephine Domino, Maria Johnson, and Mamie English.

The Domino family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, August 16th 
from 6pm to 9:30pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. 
The family would like to invite any family or friends wishing to participate to 
join them earlier for a 5:30pm rosary. 
Visitation will resume Wednesday, August 17th from 8am until time of services 
at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 11am at 
the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City with graveside services 
following in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Frank was born to Italian immigrants in Morgan City, graduated from Morgan City 
High School and served in the National Guard. He worked as a welder in Oak 
Ridge, Tennessee during World War II. In 1945, he and his brother Nunsie, 
founded an auto mechanic shop which developed into Frank's Motor Company, an 
automotive dealership. 
In 1996 he was the only dealer in the history of the Louisiana Automobile 
Dealer Association to receive two 'Dealer of the Year' Awards, the first being 
awarded in 1988. 
Frank took pride in the fact that Frank's Motor Company served the St. Mary 
Parish area for 57 years.

Frank spent a lifetime of civic efforts to improve the community he loved. He 
served as a City Council Member for 16 years, the Morgan City Harbor and 
Terminal District for 9 years and as a Director of Guaranty Bank for 25 years. 
He dedicated 27 years to the Foundation Board of Lakewood Medical Center (now 
Teche Regional Hospital). He was President of East St. Mary Chamber of Commerce 
and received its Lifetime Achievement Award in 1996. 
As president of The Rotary Club, he was instrumental in arranging the first 
free bus to transport students from this area to attend Nicholls State College 
in Thibodeaux. 
In 2001 Frank was honored with the "Citizen of the Year Award" by the Rotary 
Club. He tirelessly raised funds for the Cancer Society, American Heart 
Association, Center of Hope for Exceptional Children, Little League, Pop Warner 
football and the building of Holy Cross Church. He was a Charter Member of both 
the St. Mary Golf and Country Club and Petroleum Club. 
Every weekday afternoon you could find him at the Petroleum Club playing his 
favorite card game, Gin, among friends and sharing a good story.

Frank was a devoted father, cherished grandfather and great grandfather, and 
loyal friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the staff of Maison Jardin, 
Southern Care Hospice, Frank's caregivers and especially Charles Johnson, his 
driver and friend.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude 
Children's Hospital, Sacred Heart Church in Morgan City or the donor's charity 
of choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hargrave Funeral Home of Morgan City, 
Louisiana.
