The Rev. Allen Breaux will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Shirley Babb and Betty Rulf. Gift bearers will be Joni, Jaci and Jami Giandelone. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Jeanerette. Betty was an emergency room and surgical nurse for many years and worked as an accounting clerk previously at Venture Transport and presently for Gulf Offshore Logistics. She also was a Director of Delgado School of Nursing in Lafayette. Survivors include two sons, Joey Giandelone Sr. and his wife Alicia of Broussard, and Johnny P. Giandelone and his wife Connie of Morgan City; one daughter, Janet Giandelone Broussard, Ph.D. and her husband William Keith Broussard of Cecilia; one sister, Karen Viator of Lafayette; and six grandchildren, Joni, Jaci, Jami and Joey Giandelone Jr., Derek Latiolais and Justin Broussard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paulton Hebert and Lula Mae Dooley McCloud. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, and continue on Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Joey Giandelone Sr., Johnny P. Giandelone, Johnny J. Giandelone, Joey Giandelone Jr., Derek Latiolais and a special friend. Honorary pallbearers will be William Keith Broussard and Justin Broussard. Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements. ===================
