Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Eva was a fun loving, feisty, and spirited woman who enjoyed shopping, eating out, and playing bingo. She never met a stranger and was well liked and a respected member of the community. She always demanded a hug and a kiss from all of those that talked to her during her outings about town. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family and friends. Eva volunteered at the nursing home in Patterson, taught CCD classes, and was a Eucharistic minister to the shut-ins. She received the American Legion Post 242 Citizen of the Year Award in 1991. Eva will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and faithful friend. She will be missed by many and was loved by all that knew her. Mrs. Eva is survived by her loving sons, Daniel Harrington and his wife Vergie, and Arthur Harrington and his wife Patsy; two grandsons, David Harrington and his wife Paula, and Drew Harrington; and her most precious great grandson, Dylan Harrington, all of Patterson. Other survivors include her sisters, Lucille Barras, Agnes Foti, Nola Menard and her husband Pat, and Florine Rockenbaugh; and her brothers, Kenneth Menard and his wife Billie, and Howard Menard. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Leo Harrington; her parents, Arthur Menard, Sr. and Estelle Menard; sisters, Rida Hollier, Hazel Menard, Aline Keller, Florence Landry, Azelie Willis, and Mable Menard; and brothers, Arthur Menard, Jr., Frank Menard, and Paul Menard. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at IbertŐs Mortuary from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. Visiting will resume Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 8:00 AM until Mass time. Pallbearers will be Chip Cali, Warren Span, Milton Hathorn, Taylon Hataway, Stephen Menard, and Eddie Gamboa. Honorary pallbearers will be David Harrington, Drew Harrington, and Dylan Harrington. Dearest Mama, our precious angel with God, pray for us as we pray for you. Rest in peace.
