Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1108.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Mr. Arthur Lee Hudson Sr., 70, a resident of Amelia passed away, Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 7:40am at the Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City. Mr. Arthur is survived by three sons, Darrell Hudson and his companion, Wendy, of Natchez, MS., Arthur Hudson Jr. and his fiancˇ, Sheila Acosta, of Patterson, and Anthony Hudson Sr., of Amelia; two daughters, Susan Marie Hudson and her significant other, Carlos Hernandez, of Amelia, and Melissa Ann Picou and her husband, David, of Patterson; three brothers, Charles Hudson Sr., Clarence Hudson Jr., and Troy Hudson Sr.; two sisters, Betty Merchant and Marion Leonard; eight loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Hudson Sr.; his mother, Susan Inez Crawford; three brothers, Johnny Hudson, Anthony Lamar Hudson, and Terry Hudson; one sister, Linda Ann Anthony and one nephew, Little Michael David Hudson Jr. Mr. Arthur retired from Baker Oil Tools after 32 years of loyalty and dedication. He was a man who believed in his faith, carrying his bible with him everywhere he went. A family man, Mr. Arthur was known to dote on his grandchildren, often driving them around town in his truck and always saving loose change in his tool box for them to spend during their outings. Mr. Arthur will be missed by all whose lives he touched. The family requests that visitation be observed Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 5pm to 9pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City, Louisiana. Visitation and services will resume this week in Merryville with Myers-Colonial Funeral Home of Deridder handling arrangements. ===================
