Landry Sr., the former Dolly Hebert, 85, were conducted on Thursday, August 18, 2011, at 1 p.m., at McGowen Methodist Church in Jeanerette, with Minister Sue Pugh serving as the officiant. Visitation began Thursday, at 10 a.m., until the time of services. Interment followed at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Baldwin. Mrs. Landry passed away Monday, August 15, 2011, at 9:35 p.m., at a local nursing home after a strong and courageous battle with AlzheimerÕs. Dolly was a devout member of McGowen Methodist Church, where she had an active role in the choir. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and cooking. Mrs. Landry was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; caring for her family was her passion and those times spent with family were her most cherished moments. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Stephen F. Landry Sr. of Jeanerette (Four Corners); sons, Stephen Landry Jr. and wife, Linda, of Franklin; Larry P. Landry and fiancŽe, Starlene Boutte, of Jeanerette; Mark T. Landry and wife, Mandy; and Brian J. Landry, all of New Iberia; sister, Marie Naquin of Franklin; grandchildren, Brett Landry and wife, Gail, of Websterville, La.; Wendy Landry of Panama City, Florida; Craig Landry wife, Lauren, of New Iberia; Kristi Gathe and husband, Charlie, of Maurice; Alicia Landry of Maurice; Leslie Landry of Monterey, California; and Jesse Landry of New Iberia; and great grandchildren, Nick Hormon, Megan Scelfo and Martin Scelfo, all of Panama City, Florida, and Raina Landry of New Iberia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Hebert Sr. and Johanna Kuhlman Hebert; brother, Alfred Hebert Jr. and sister, Winnie McDowell. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Maison Teche Nursing Home, Dr. Stephen Boudreaux and the staff of Heart of Hospice. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Landry Jr., Larry P. Landry, Mark T. Landry, Brett Landry, Craig Landry and Jesse Landry. Honorary pallbearer will be Brian J. Landry. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to a non-profit charity/organization of your choice.
