Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1108.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, August 15, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Church of the Assumption for Brent Coral Miguez, 41, a native and a lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011 at his home. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services, assisted by Deacon Douglas Hebert. Brent was a loving and devoted son, father, husband, brother, and grandfather. His passions were the outdoors, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends. He always had a comical personality that made everyone happy and laugh. He was employed by Franklin Supply for the past 19 years. Brent will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Brent is survived by his wife, Montez Ladner of Franklin; his children, Brendin Miguez, specialist E-4 of the Army, 30th Medical Command and his wife Kendall, stationed in Heidelberg, Germany, Brandt Miguez and Alyssa Miguez, both of Humble, TX, and Bryce Miguez of Centerville; a step-son, Austin Ladner of Long Beach, MS; his parents, Coral and Janice Bodin Miguez of Houma; four sisters, Carla Trosclair and her husband Tim, Sheila Pontiff and her husband Ray, Lisa Bourgeois, and Buffy Landry and her husband Keith, all of Franklin; one granddaughter, Kylie; a soon to be born grandchild; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, August 15, at the Church of the Assumption from 10:00 AM until Mass time, with the rosary being prayed at 12:00 PM. Pallbearers will be his sons Brendin and Brandt Miguez, his step-son, Austin Ladner, and friends, Mike McDonald, Scott Derouen, and Evan Aufieri.
