Miller, 88, an Amite native and resident of Bayou Vista, who passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011, at 12:20 PM at his home. Burial will follow in IbertŐs Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Randy Plessala will officiate the services. Mr. Isaac was a veteran of the United States Army having served stateside during World War II. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the East St. Mary VeteranŐs Funeral Squad. He was a Journeyman/Inspector, working on pipelines throughout the US as well as overseas, and was also a member of the Pipeliners Local Union 798, Tulsa, OK, for 55 years. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Rosa ŇRosieÓ Sons Miller of Bayou Vista; three sons, Mike Miller and his wife Cindy of Baton Rouge, Brian Miller of Baton Rouge, and Steve Miller of Patterson; two daughters, Judy Stringer and her husband Jack of Pearland, TX and Janith Miller of Baton Rouge; one brother, Shelby Miller and his wife Dora Lee of Kentwood; ten grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Mark and Wade Miller; and by his parents, Jessie T. Miller and Cassie Davis Miller. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, August 23, at IbertŐs Mortuary from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and again Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
