Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1108.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Alice Paray, 69, a native of Amelia and a resident of Lafayette passed away, Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at the Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Alice is survived by three sons, Clint Abshire of Bayou Lourse, James Mitchell of Lafayette, and Danny Davis of Picayune, MS.; one brother, Bill Paray and his wife, Lela, of Broussard; four sisters, Carrie Lange and her husband, Wilbert, of Berwick, Emily Thibodeaux and her husband, Rodnis, of Bayou Lourse, Martha Overbay and her husband, Chip, of Marerro, and Julie Paray of Calumet; one sister-in-law Patricia Paray; ten grandchildren Shantell, Kaitlyn, Lara, Colby, Corie, Cody, Courtney, Connor, Elizabeth and Chloe; four great grandchildren, Lannie, Peyton, Jaelyn, and Logan and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alice Fryou Paray; a son, Gabriel Abshire; and two brothers, Lennis and Harry Paray. Alice retired from One Hour Martinizing after 35 years of devotion. A loyal 49ers fan, she adored watching Joe Montana and later Tom Brady play. Alice was a very independent person, who spoke freely about what was on her mind. She loved cooking and was a perfectionist in everything she did. She loved her family. The family requests that visitation be observed Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 6pm to 10pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City with a rosary being prayed at 7pm. Visitation will resume Friday, August 12th at 8am until time of services at Hargrave Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday August 12, 2011 at 11am at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Burial will follow in the St. Andrew's Cemetery in Amelia. ===================
