He was born and raised in Orange, Texas, and moved to Morgan City when he was high school age. Mr. Peveto served his country in the Korean conflict as an Army military policeman in Pusan, Korea, a service of which he was extremely proud. Mr. Peveto was the epitome of a family man. His life revolved around his wife, daughter, son, and extended family. He was very active in his church and in his faith. He loved reading the Bible and watching sports, especially LSU. He and his football teammates from Morgan City High School still met for lunch on a regular basis to talk about old times and reminisce. They have remained friends for all these years. He was a very loving and kind man, but had a stubborn streak always in the background for those who really loved and knew him. Those left behind to cherish his memories are his daughter Donnasue Peveto of Morgan City; his son and daughter-in-law Keith and Sherry Peveto; his granddaughter Deanna Peveto; and grandson Cole Wyant all of West Monroe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews scattered over south Louisiana; Don and Elaine Granger; and numerous other cousins in and around Orange, Texas; and Jerome and Aline Bertrand of Bayou Vista, his best friends; also four special woman in his life Carolyn Fontenot, Chante Gros, Cheryl Cherry, and Tracey Dugas, were his friends and caregivers for the past 5 years due to his decline in health. He loved his girls. Mr. Peveto is preceded in death by his mother and father, Florence and Raymond Peveto, Sr.; his wife, Viva Dee Francis Peveto; a sister, Mary Lou Peveto Rodrigue; a brother, Milton Peveto; and numerous sister-in-laws and brother-in- laws.
