Mr. Willie James Brown, 60, a resident and native of Franklin, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at 10:17 p.m., at his residence following a short illness. He is survived by a special friend, Bessie Robinson of Franklin; three sons, Rochelle Darby and Tremaine Butler of Franklin and Willie Ferguson of Dallas, Texas; three stepsons, Aaron Ferguson of New Orleans, Fredrick Ferguson of Berwick and Marvin Ferguson of Lafayette; two daughters, Ashley Butler and Nora Faye Darby of Franklin; two brothers, Anderson Brown of Franklin and Edward C. Brown of Beaumont, Texas; two sisters, Hilda B. Williams and Janice Bailey and husband, Charles, of Beaumont; and 11 grandchildren. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers. Visitations will be observed Saturday, Sept. 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Otis Mortuary Chapel. Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 1 p.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. Rufus Parker Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery in Franklin. ===================
