He was born Jan. 22, 1946, to his parents, Benjamin and Irene Dufield, in Beaumont, Texas. Bob proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam and was a longstanding member of the Pearland & Kemah Elks Lodge. He worked in the oil field industry and has been a Pearland resident since 1978. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Dufield. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Linda Wilks Dufield; his mother, Irene Dufield; his daughters, Arte Allen, Angela Miller and Elizabeth McCraw; a son, Robert Dufield; his sisters, Lynn Landry and Diane Woodham; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas, with a military honors presentation at 6 p.m. Bob often reminisced about his upbringing in Berwick, and countless fond memories of fishing and hunting on the Atchafalaya River.
