Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1109.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011, at 1:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary for Miriam Peltier Firmin, 94, a native of Franklin and a longtime resident of Centerville, who passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at 9:28 PM at her home. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Fr. Ruben Primor will officiate the services. Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Firmin Boucher and her husband Donat of Lafayette, and Tanya Firmin Dischler and Nick Dischler, Jr. of Mandeville; eight grandchildren, Jamie F. Horton of Birmingham, AL, Brett J. Firmin of Centerville, Wendy F. Roos of Richmond, VA, Duane D. Dugas of New Orleans, Krystal D. Eades of Lafayette, Nicholas F. Dischler, III of Charlotte, NC, Christian M. Dischler of New Orleans, and Damon N. Dischler of San Diego, CA; seven great grandchildren, Miller and Justine Horton of Birmingham, AL, Mason Daigle of Lafayette, Rune Dugas of Seattle, WA, Conrad and Eric Roos of Richmond, VA, and Owen Dischler of San Diego, CA; and two brothers, Wilfred E. Peltier, Jr. of Bayou Sale and Godfrey Peltier of Bayou Sale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miller J. Firmin, Sr.; one son, Miller J. "Chubby" Firmin, Jr.; one brother, Huey Peltier; and three sisters, Mary Ellen Foreman, Emmadel Levet, and Elizabeth Duncan. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at Ibert's, from 9:00 AM until Mass time, with the rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Duane Dugas, Nicholas Dischler, III, Christian Dischler, Mason Daigle, Miller Horton, and Conrad Roos. Honorary pallbearers will be Brett Firmin, Eric Roos, and Damon Dischler.
