JOSEPH, EDWHELAN 

Mr. Edwhelan Joseph, 80, a resident of Franklin and native of Jeanerette, died 
Monday, September 26, 2011, at 3:15 p.m., at Methodist Hospital in Houston, 
Texas following a short illness.

Mr. Joseph was a retired St. Mary Parish schoolteacher.

He is survived by one son, Anthony Joseph and wife, Deanna, of Houma; one 
daughter, Adrienne Joseph of Houston; and one sister, Annette Francis of 
Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vergie Bowser Joseph; 
sisters and brothers.

Visitations will be observed Friday, Sept. 30, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Mt. 
Calvary Baptist Church in Jeanerette.

Burial rites will be read Friday, at 12 p.m., at that church, with the Rev. 
Joel Green Jr. officiating. 
Entombment will follow in the Beau Pre Mausoleum in Jeanerette.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
