She was a homemaker. One of her greatest joys in life was having the privilege of taking care of her two grandsons. She loved gardening and cooking. Visitation will be held today, Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home and Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, from 10 a.m. until service time at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gibson. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at noon at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gibson. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Carl A. McAllister and wife Dianne of Amelia, and Dr. Wesley J. McAllister and wife Fran of Spartanburg, S.C.; her daughters, Regina Sellers and husband Dave of Houma, and Lisa Charpentier and husband Jimmy of Houma; her grandchildren, Lance McAllister, Melanie Belle, Ryan Sellers, Jay Sellers, Melissa Sellers, Steven Charpentier and Seth Charpentier; her great-grandchildren, Alexis McAllister, Mallory McAllister, Sean Torgrimson Jr., Grant Torgrimson, Julia Sellers, Nicholas Sellers and Nathan Sellers; her brothers, Paul Hebert of Lafayette and Francis Hebert of Thibodaux; a sister, Theresa Broussard and husband Paris of Gibson; sisters-in-law, Ethel Ward and husband Louie, Louise Ingram, and Betty Carol; and brothers-in-law, Robert McAllister and Robert Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. McAllister; her parents, Robert Hebert and Helen Keyser Hebert; her father and mother-in-law, William and Annie McAllister; her sisters-in-law, Tommie Hebert, Helen Hebert and Virginia Johnson; and her brothers-in-law, Donald McAllister and Bodie Ingram. The family would like to thank Hospice of South Louisiana and their staff, and a special thanks to Celeste LeBouef, her sitter.
