Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1109.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson for Evelyn Daisy Orgeron, 24, a Marrero native and lifelong resident of Avondale, who passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011, in New Orleans. Evelyn will deeply missed by all who knew her. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery. Father Donavan LabbŽ will officiate the services. Survivors include her mother, Jeanne Orgeron Mason and her husband Richard of Weatherford, TX; her grandmother, Emelda Morvant Orgeron of Avondale; five brothers, Octave "O.J." Orgeron, Jr. and his wife Tanya of Avondale, Chad Orgeron and his wife Merrick of Avondale, Octave Orgeron, III and his wife Audrey of Houston, TX, Jeffrey Lashley of Weatherford, TX, and Michael Mason and his fiance Crystal Burns of Bellechase; two sisters, Elizabeth Orgeron Frederick and her fiance Galis Touchet of Abbeville, and Delina Frederick Houghton and her husband Chuck of Breaux Bridge; Evelyn's fiance, Jimmy Vinet and his son Gage and daughter Isabella of Marrero; her godchild, Kaitlyn Orgeron of Avondale; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her baby dog, Fraizer. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Octave J. Orgeron, Sr.; maternal great grandparents, Antoine Morvant and Mary Daigle Morvant; paternal great grandparents, Octave H. Orgeron and Lelia Hotard Orgeron; and a brother-in-law, Walter Frederick. Pallbearers will be Chad Orgeron, Jeffrey Lashley, Michael Mason, Jimmy Vinet, Octave Orgeron III, Donald Voison, Jr., Richard Mason, and Octave "O.J." Orgeron, Jr. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, September 26, at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM.
