Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1109.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary for Milton Paul Picard, Jr., 58, a Franklin native and resident of Sorrel for the past thirteen years, who passed away Monday, September 26, 2011, at 9:12 AM at his home. Burial will follow in St. Helen's Cemetery in Florence. Dr. Chris Holloway will officiate the services. Survivors include his wife, Betty Hawkins Picard of Sorrel; his step-children, John C. "James Dale Hawkins" Woods of Kilgore, TX, Shelby Carl "Carlin David Hawkins" Woods of Lafayette, and Tony Wayne Hawkins Thibodeaux of Erath; two sisters, Wanda Picard of Sorrel, and Gayle P. Dupuy of Jeanerette; six grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and his beloved pals, Peanut, Precious, Bandit, Smokey, and Lucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Paul Picard, Sr. and Marguerite Derouen Picard; his grandparents; and a niece. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Ibert's Mortuary from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume Friday at 9:00 AM until time of service. Pallbearers will be John Woods, Carlin Woods, Benjamin Picard, William Kelly, Jamie Wilbur, and Oscar Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be James Cryer and Tommy Collins. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. ===================
