Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1110.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Dennis Albert Billiot, 68, a native and resident of Morgan City, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in Ocala, FL. The family requests that visitation be observed Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 5pm to 10pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City with a rosary being prayed at 7pm. Visitation will resume Monday, October 17th at 8am until time of dismissal at Hargrave Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, October 17th at 11 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City. Dennis will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. During graveside services the Morgan City Police Department will honor their brother-at-arms for his years of dedicated service to Morgan City and the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad will preside over military honors. Dennis retired from the Morgan City Police Department as a Patrol Officer and proudly served in the United States Army. He also enjoyed playing racquetball in the Police Olympics, where he won many awards. Dennis will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Dennis is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Teston Billiot of Morgan City; his two sons, Dennis Randall "Randy" Billiot of Denham Springs, and Patrick Shane Billiot and his wife, Melanie, of Berwick; his daughter, Monica Tudorache and her husband, Gabriel, of Seattle, WA; two brothers, Joe J. Billiot of Berwick, and Sidney Billiot, of Broussard; two sisters, Daisy Billiot of Morgan City and Betty Young of Franklin; three half brothers, Ernest Billiot of New Iberia, Preston Billiot of Morgan City, and Willard Billiot of Houma; four half sisters, Anna Daigle of Pierre Part, Nat DeHart of Berwick, Lily Torres of Berwick, and Madina Billiot of Morgan City; a sister-in-law, Diane Nafziger and five grandchildren, Brock, Courtney, and Megan Billiot, and Ethan and Grayson Tudorache. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Billiot; his mother, Daisy Davis Konesky; his step father, Walter Konesky; his brother, Eugene Billiot; his father and mother-in-law, Carl and Ernestine Teston.
