Reuben served in the United States Army and The United States Navy. The East St. Mary Funeral Squad will perform at Graveside. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at the Siracusaville Recreation Center in Morgan City, La., from 9:00 AM until funeral at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery. Uncle Reub leaves to cherish his memory; his mother, Bernie Lee Mickens-Evans of Philadelphia, PA; his wife, Fannie Marie Evans of Morgan City; one son, Reuben Evans, Jr; two daughters, Ashley Taryll Evans and Andrea Sharyll Evans both of Morgan City, La; five brothers, Kenneth G. Evans, Jr. of Patterson, La., Tommie W. Evans, David A. Evans, Sr., and Barry (Wanda) Evans all of San Diego, CA., and Cornelius (Tiffany) Evans of Columbus, GA; four sisters, Mrs. Sandra J. (Derrick) Williams and Mrs. Ursula J. Evans(Paul) Fletcher both of San Diego, CA., Sybil R. Evans of Jacksonville, FL., and Mrs. Adrianne (Lamar) Belton of Philadelphia, PA; one grandchild, Michael Don Payne Mayfield, III of Morgan City, La., and a host of relatives and friends. Reuben was preceded in death by his grandmother, Edith Lewis, his father, Kenneth Evans, Sr., and a brother, Kenwood Glen Evans. ===================
