Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at 
Ibert's Mortuary for Mr. Wiley Joseph Gary, 75, a New Iberia native and 
longtime resident of Franklin, who passed away at 11:30 am on Saturday, October 
22, 2011 at his residence. 

Pastor Katherine Brand will officiate the service. 
Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.

Wiley was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed fishing, 
hunting, and going to the camp with family and friends, as well as raising his 
garden and sharing the fruits of his labor. He dedicated over 30 years working 
for St. Mary Parish operating heavy equipment for the Drainage Board and road 
crews.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Elaine (Erline) Romero Gary of 
Franklin; six children, Maxine Breaux and her husband David of Delcambre, 
Yvonne Marcel and her husband Robby of Morgan City, Preston Gary and his wife 
Sherryl of New Iberia, Francis (Peanut) Gary and his wife Felicia of Charenton, 
Kevin Gary and his wife Angela of Franklin, Chris Gary and his wife Desiree' of 
Marietta, GA; one sister, Barbara Bourque; 13 grandchildren, Ashley Wade Gary, 
Nina Gary and her companion Clarence Daniels, David Breaux, Jr. and his 
companion Natisha Theriot, Sean Breaux and his wife Nikita, Raven Gary, Saige 
Gary, Victoria Gary, Dayne Gary, Ansley Gary, Robin Marcel, Hailey Marcel, 
Daniel Gary, and Miranda Gary; eight great grandchildren, Dylan Gary, Malayna 
Gary; K'yana Gary, Brielle Gary, Layla Breaux, Makenzie Breaux, DJ Breaux, and 
Lucy Breaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ovey Gary and Eliza Delahoussaye Gary; 
five brothers, Minus Gary, Wilton Gary, Leroy Gary, Gabriel Bourque, and Dalton 
Bourque; three sisters, Irene Migues, Lily Hebert, and Lelia Gary.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Ibert's Mortuary on Tuesday 
from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visiting hours will continue on Wednesday from 9:00 
am until time of services.

Pallbearers will be Francis (Peanut) Gary, Preston Gary, Chris Gary, Kevin 
Gary, Robby Marcel, and David Breaux, Sr.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main St., 
Franklin
