Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1110.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at 12:00 PM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baldwin for Mr. Whitney Paul Lambert, Jr., born in Lafayette, a longtime former resident of Baldwin, and a recent resident of Reserve, who passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011, at 10:13 PM at River Parishes Hospital in LaPlace. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Father Gregory Cormier will officiate the services. Mr. Lambert was a veteran of the United States Army, Company B, 70th Armored Infantry Battalion, having served during World War II in the European Theater. Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Lambert-Oswald and her husband Jim of LaPlace, and Sheila L. Hebert of Brandon, MS; five grandsons, Stephen Mikhail Lambert-Oswald and his wife Elizabeth, Alexander Lambert-Oswald, Nicholas Lambert-Oswald, Peter Lambert-Oswald, and Bradley John Hebert; one great granddaughter, Catalina Elizabeth Lambert-Oswald; and loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria Planells Lambert, his parents, Whitney Lambert, Sr. and Edna Mae Moore Lambert; one sister, Geraldine L. Murrell; one brother, Frank Lambert; and one son-in-law, Leroy Hebert, Jr. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, October 17, at Ibert's Mortuary from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume Tuesday at Ibert's at 10:00 AM until dismissal at 11:30 AM.
