Lewis is survived by his nephew, Eldon Gouldy and his wife, Betty, of Plainview, Texas; his niece, Diane Fears and her husband, Glynn Fears, of Morgan City; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ibert and Rose Marie Robichaux; two great nieces, Alicia Corrales and her husband, Greg, of Lafayette, and Ashley Fears of Morgan City; two great nephews, Chris Gouldy and his wife, Katia, of McLean, Texas, and Casey Gouldy and his wife, Tracy, of Irmo, South Carolina; and a great niece, Debra McIlroy and her husband, David, of Plainview, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Anna "Tommie" Simpson Lewis; his wife, Dorothy Orfanello Lewis; his sister, Icel Gouldy; and his brother, Arthur Lewis Jr. Visitation will take place Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 10am until time of services with a Mass of Christian burial being held at 11am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City. Interment will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Eldon Gouldy, Chris Gouldy, Glynn Fears, Greg Corrales, and Michael Tamporello. The family would like to thank his loving caregivers, Vicky Darnell, Kristy Bernard, Felicia Barletta, David and Jackie Gaspard, Evelyn Aucoin, and Sandy Pike for the love and devotion shown to Russell and his family during his illness. The family would also like to express their appreciation to Southern Care Hospice of Houma for the wonderful care that was given to Russell during this time.
