Survivors include her daughter Jacqueline Rutledge and partner Angela Serio of Baton Rouge, LA, daughter-in-law Leslie Rutledge of Morgan City, two grandchildren Meghan Irene Rutledge and Mason John Rutledge of Morgan City, LA and one great grandson Cayden Thomassie. She is also survived by her sister Mary Winterton of Kanata, Canada one brother, George Rose of Perth Australia and numerous nieces and nephews. A very special niece and nephew: Lorraine Winterton and Stephen Winterton both of Kanata, Canada. Ms. Rutledge was a veteran of the Womens Royal Army Corp and a retired RN. She loved her nursing career and felt both privileged and humbled to take care of the sick. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick James and Mary Ann Breeze Rose of London. Her son John L. Rutledge, Jr., former husband and friend John L. Rutledge, Sr. Two brothers: Frederick J Rose, Jr. of Barcelona and John Rose of Melbourne, Australia and four sisters: Lily Whymark of Dartford Kent, England, June Candler of Lands End, England, Jennifer Bowman of Cobham, England and Alice Martell of Brighton, England. Irene's wishes were to be cremated and then brought back to England to be laid to rest in the family cemetery. ===================
