Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1110.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, October 27, 2011, at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Assumption for Mrs. Eula Legnon Thibodaux, 83, a native of Jeanerette and longtime resident of Franklin, who passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011, at her home with her husband at her side. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services. Mrs. Eula was a devout member of the Church of the Assumption for many years. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 62 years Jack Bernard Thibodaux, Sr. of Franklin; two sons, Jack B. Thibodaux, Jr. and his wife Martha of Lafayette and Ray James Thibodaux of Denham Springs; one sister, Mildred Legnon Gasper of Fairfield, Connecticut; four granddaughters, Leslie Thibodaux Vercher of Spring, Texas; Brooke Thibodaux Williams of Nederland, Texas; Tracy Thibodaux Treadway of Denham Springs; and Kelly Thibodaux Daniel of Lafayette; and nine great-grandchildren, Brooklin Tardiff, Alec and Jace Vercher, Kallie Stelly, Layden Marcel, Emma and Reagan Williams, and Alexis and Claire Daniel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Gladys LaGrange Legnon, her sister, Ruth Legnon Lindheim; and a daughter-in-law, Linda Thibodaux. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Ibert's Mortuary from 10:00 AM until dismissal time at 1:45 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 11:30 AM.
