JOHN 14:1-3 Born: September 3, 1933 in Patterson, La, to Mr. Rapheal Williams, Sr. and Mrs. Cora Franklin Williams. Allen Williams, age 78, a native and resident of Patterson, La., died Monday, October 24th at 5:12 PM at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, TX. Allen served in the United States Air Force. The East St. Mary Veteran Funeral Squad will perform at graveside. Visitation will be Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Good Hope Baptist Church, from 8:00 AM until funeral at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in the Shield Benevolent Cemetery in Patterson, La. Marry Mrs. Ann Delores Dudley Williams on October 1, 1960 in Amite, La., for fifty-one (51) years. Church/Religious Affiliations: Baptized by the late Reverend John Simmons, Sr., at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson, Louisiana, where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board; Chief Finance Officer; Adult Sunday School Teacher; Chairman of Hope's Place; Co-chair of the Married Couples Ministry; attended Christian education classes on the District, State, and National levels where he received many certificates and graduated from Christian leadership classes for Deans and Presidents. Had a passion for teaching, especially the Word of God. Education: Patterson Elementary School; Sumpter Williams High School in Morgan City, La., Southern University in Baton Rouge, La., where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree; Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La., where he received his Master of Arts Degree +30. Military Experience: Served four years in the United States Air Force; received an Honorable Discharge. Occupation: a retired teacher, taught fro thirty-five (35) years in the St. Mary Parish School System; was an instructor for the Jobs for America's Graduates )JAG) Program for Morgan City-Paterson and the Tri-City Area. Organization: Charter Member of 100 Black Men of St. Mary Parish; Past Commander of Carr-Robertson Post No. 589. Community Involvement: An active member of the City of Patterson Planning Commission; Past member of Boy Scouts of America; Past coach of the Little League Baseball Team. Masonic Rites: Pride of Patterson Chapter No. 28 Order of Eastern Stars, St. Mary Court No. 5 Heroines of Jericho, John Parson Consistory No. 171 (33 Degree Mason), Member of Ghadur No. 61, Holy Royal Arch Mason Brotherhood 22, Prince Hall Lodge 116-Berwick, La. Allen leaves to cherish his memory; his devoted wife, Mrs. Ann Delores Dudley Williams of Patterson, La; one son, Mr. Armon Dudley Williams of Patterson, La; one daughter, Ms. Aileen Janell Williams of Los Angeles, California; one sister, Mrs. Betty Joyce Williams Sidney of Port Allen, La; two brothers, Mr. Raphael ( Ann) Williams, Jr., of San Diego, California and Mr. Mark Anthony (Laura) Williams of Patterson, La; three god-children, Ms. Janielle Nicole Vining of Patterson, La., Ms. Gail Ruffin of Morgan City, La., and Mr. Irvin Winston, Jr. of Thibodaux, La; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rapheal Williams, Sr. and Cora Franklin Williams,; one brother, Hercules Williams' three sisters, Delores Williams Herrin, Evelyn Williams Winn and Barbara Williams Mack. ===================
