A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, December 1, 2011, at 11:00 AM 
at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson for May Ola Ohmer Barras, 77, a 
native of Labadieville, former longtime resident of Bayou Vista, and a resident 
of Patterson for the past 20 years, who passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011, 
at 11:06 AM at Teche Regional Medical Center. 
Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. 
Father Angelo Cremaldi will officiate the services.

Survivors include her two sons, Don Barras and his wife Jane of Berwick, and 
Larry Barras and his wife Darlene of Patterson; four grandchildren, Chad 
Barras, Casey Kowatch and her husband Tom, Sabrina Barras, and Lelia Barras; 
one great granddaughter, Alexia Barras; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ignace "Joe" Barras; her parents, 
George Ohmer, Sr. and Florence Ohmer; and five siblings, Dorothy "Toot" David, 
Irving "Bozo" Ohmer, Sr., Doris Lombas Eschedor, Gerald Ohmer, Sr., and George 
Ohmer, Jr.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic 
Church from 8:00 AM until Mass time.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the exceptional 
care given over the 20 years while she was a resident at Patterson Healthcare 
Center. They truly have been a blessing!

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc.
