Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1111.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charenton for Emily Kelley Carline, 81, a native of Bayou Chene and a resident of Charenton for the past 52 years, who passed away Friday, November 25, 2011 at 8:07 PM at Franklin Foundation Hospital. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Father Gregory Cormier will officiate the services. Mrs. Emily was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose life revolved around family and friends. She was always ready to help those in need. Her home was the gathering place for the whole family, as well as all of their friends, especially during swimming season. Survivors include two sons, Thomas J. Carline and his wife Mary Ann of Baldwin and Marglynn P. Carline and his wife Catherine of Charenton; three daughters, Paula Burke and her husband Preston Jr. of Franklin, Pamela Benoit and her husband Sidgy Jr. of Baldwin, and Myra Meche and her husband Richard of Lafayette; three brothers, George Kelley and his wife Patricia, Millard Kelley, and Darrell Kelley, all of Bayou Sorrel; one sister, Joyce Carline of Charenton; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tunney B. Carline; an infant daughter; her parents, Charles Kelley and Elizabeth Diamond Kelley; and three brothers, Arthur Kelley, Earl Kelley, and Darby Kelley. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, November 28, at Ibert's Mortuary from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM, and again Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM.
